?Aero Turbine?

I have a SPS 62 turbo and love the way it spools. I was thinking though, everyone says that the aero turbine helps spool thier turbo's quicker. My question for those of you that have the Aero Turbine, how much quicker does your turbo's spool now, and how does it sound? I have "5 inch" pipe turbo back into stacks and LOVE!<---- the way it sounds and don't want to loose that... ..... Is it worth the $280 dollars??? Also your egt's, how much did they go down. I sit at 280 at idle and 580 to 600 cruising Thanks

CHolman I can't speak of the spoolup but the Aeroturbine made quite a difference in exhaust sound. . . I thought it made it a lot better. But I did have the stock turbo which made my '03 sound bad. There is a clip of my '03 on Diesel Power Product's website but it's not a very good representation of what it sounded like (much better in real life).



You might drop Maverick a PM, he now owns my '03.

Yeah, that's pretty choppy... I would have to say it would sound better in person. Also the depth I get with my 5 inch system is crazy. My wife took the truck to the store last week "I very rarely let her take it anywhere" Anyway, I listened to it go down the block, then two and then three until she was out of the housing area; if you didn't know any better you would say it was a big rig... When she came back all I could hear was turbo and a deep growl, I so don't want to loose that...

I have 5 inch with the aeroturbine pretty loud didnt notice any gains though, basically it sounds nice but not worth the price tag to me

Okay, I won't worry about it then. I'm saving up for a South Bend Clutch right now anyway. The Aero Turbine was just an idea. Thanks again.....

I had the 4" aeroturbine I HATED it!!! It made my truck sound like a ricer, but for everyone there own.

I had one on my 05 and it sounded great and lowered the EGT's a few degrees also. I have another one I will be putting on my 06.

I liked mine on my '04. It was straight-piped with the AT right behind the downpipe. Sounded real good and cut out the harshness and bark of a straight pipe. My neighbors probably liked it better too with me comin' and going at all hours of the day and night.

I put a 4040 on my 05' because it had a horrible drone to it. I like it and would buy another one if I had to.

I had real bad bark/drone when I had my 4 inch down pipe and stocker turbo before I had my SPS 62, but put the 5 inch down pipe on when I changed the cast elbow from the 4 inch to 3 and a half inch elbow "on the 305 models" to the 600 4 inch through and through cast elbow and all by bark is gone, now it's just DEEEEEPP! If I come across some extra money, I'll get a aero muffler and let ya'll know what I think. Keep ya'll's opion's comin though; thanks
