Aeroturbine Resonators.....Fact or Fiction?

Do they really work as advertised or is it a gimmik?

I have a 5" exhaust with a little drone and I'm looking to try one of these to eliminate the drone..... I've read conflicting arguements as to whether these things really work as advertised though.

They are pricey but if it really works (reduces EGT's, Increased MPG, & Sounds Throaty) AND it helps with drone then it's definitely worth it to me.

I'm also wondering how these things sound on a 5" system by itself...

If any of you do have this setup did you mount it toward the front or back of the system?

I don't have the 5" aeroturbine, but the 4" version. Bought it because I couldn't handle the drone of my MBRP exhaust (this was before they made resonators available with their kits). I did not see any improvement in mileage whatsoever, EGT's didn't seem to have dropped any more than what they were with the 4" exhaust, but it did eliminate the drone quite well in my case, so I was happy with it. I am not sure I would really recommend it though as far as their claims go. Their instructions state to mount it as far forward in the exhaust as possible.

Ganassi Racing apparently thinks they work according to AT's site. I had one on my '04 with a straight pipe system. The AT was installed just behind the downpipe where they suggest and I tell ya-----I had no in-cab drone at all and it sounded GREAT out back. Like a straight pipe but smoother.

I ran one (4" model) for a few months a while back. It didn't seem to reduce EGT's any, but it did cut down the drone considerably.
