ok, my 97' took out the 8mm bolt and accessed the star wheel.

turned it towards engine 5 little increments due to lack of space.

after 4th increment could see wheel was wet, so assumed that made 1 full turn. Then only got 1 more out of it for 5 increments.

I then backed it off 2 increments, test drove still a major difference

much better, what I want to know is should I keep backing off till I find a spot where not much difference or can I leave it where it is

I'm just worried about damaging pump. Probably can't, just want to make sure.

thanks for the info.

You won't damage the pump by moving up the star wheel. You could move it all the way forward if you would like. Its just gona smoke when you get on it whith litle or no boost. If you are a person that loves smoke, move the wheel all the way forward and the housing all the way forward. Have fun.
