I am coutious about the scerw at the back of the AFC housing.

What does it do. It's the one under the little cover at the very back of the housing.

Thanks

It set a pre load on the springs and diafragm gives a little better throttle response off the line before turbo spool up

It moves the AFC link forward some to aid in the pre boost fueling levels. The link is what controls smoke at low boost levels.

As boost builds up, the link is pushed forward to allow the lever to move forward and hence deliver more fuel. having the screw turned in helps to get more low end fueling without regards to boost as much. More smoke in low boost situations is the outcome if done too much and foot is too heavy.

OK, what if you have the AFC Spring turned all the way in, and the Housing all the way forward... Will turning this screw do anything? Or are you already all the way forward?

adj screw

Piers had me turn mine in 2 turns to get a better throttle responce from a dead start, it seemed to lesson the turbo lag somehow or another:confused:

Two turns in is the way to go ... . this allows the rack to bring the fuel on before the boost overcomes the diapragm ...
