Just exactly does sliding it fore and aft do?

My understanding is that it allows fueling sooner as less boost is required before fueling begins. May allow more fueling also, not sure on that one.

it moves the Afc lever farther to the full fuel side which in turn gives you more pre-boost fueling.

Lowend or no boost fueling, star wheel is a fine tuner. On my truck I have a valet switch so I have no boost at all going to the AFC when it's on, nice being able to run at WOT at say 45-50 psi and very little to no smoke. Bill to give you a better idea, when I'm at the track I stage in valet mode and adjust the AFC for the power I want to leave with then match the boost to it for the desired launch.
