Does anyone know what the part number is for the AFC housing o-ring or gasket?? Also, is there a different parts source other than Cummins? (There isn't a cummins within a hundred miles of me... !!!) Perhaps Case?? Mine has leaked since I removed it to install the fuel plate. Also, Can someone explain how I remove the fuel heater assembly? I removed the bowl from the bottom to clean it out and couldn't get the heater assembly out. I think that is where my air leak (causing the hard start problem) is. It actually got worse after pulling the bowl, cleaning it, and replacing the lower rubber gasket. This hard to start problem is getting annoying!!! :{

I can't help you with the AFC housing gasket but Joe. G has posted several times regarding the fuel heater and air leaks. I think the problem is a leak in the electrical connector.

Do a search or send Joe a PM.

The bosch part number for the afc o-ring is 2 420 206 007. You should be able to get it at a case or injection pump repair shop. Cost should be around $4. 00.

bring the part number into your local dodge dealer. they'll usually be a couple bucks higher than cummins, but for a gasket it really isn't much. in my neck of the woods, the dodge dealer isn't much higher than the cummins dealer for most smaller items.
