Ok, I was just thinking. I know that don't mean a lot, but for what it's worth. Say a person took out there pin and ran without it? What ill effects would this cause? Also what if you made a pin that was straight up and down/vertical, with the radius being the same from top to bottom? Just kicking around ideas. Bill

Bill,

You can take the pin out and run without it. BUT, I wouldn't recommend it. Well, for a quick test it might be ok. :D What I have found, as well as another member, is that the guide pin will travel too far and fuel will leak past it. The other guys leaked after the first run, mine took a couple hundred miles to start leaking. If this is done the guide pin will have to be pushed back into its hole before the fuel delivery rate pin can be replaced. If for some reason you wanted to disable the AFC, one could install a modified fuel delivery rate pin and leave the spring out. Acceleration is greatly improved, but the smoke is not worth it. I personally like the benefits of the AFC.
