AFC Starwheel clicker won't click no more!

I have been needing to go in and adjust my afc wheel every month or so because the wheel keeps backing off with the spring pressure and I get excessive smoke. The clicker ain't clickin and the thing just free wheels. Has this happened to any one else?

I'll bet the lilttle metal tab that contacts the teeth on the star wheel is either bent down so its no longer holding the star wheel from moving, or its busted off. Its just riveted on the bottom of the afc housing. Its thin metal too. You might have to pull the AFC, take the back off and see what happened.
