well I am pretty sure I have read somthing about this before ... . but it eludes me... I have my fuel plate slid a little forward (#6) and the power is good and take off is pretty good but I get alot of smoke..... and I have the AFC spring pretty tight..... and she still blows a good sized cloud at full take off... I have checked the clamps and every thing seems to be tight anyone have a idea what is happening? Jim

If too much smoke before building boost, cut the xero fueling by backing out the stud in the rear of the AFC about 1/3 turn at a time until you get the smoke control you need. Alternatively you can check whether this is needed, an easier check, push the AFC toward the rear a little at a time testing in between.

If smoke when under power, you need more air from boost, bigger exhaust housing, or HX40 turbo.

email me if you need more specifics--this kind of thing has appeared on the list before and I don't want to use up too much bandwidth.
