I got my AFE filter replacement for the K&N RE-0880 last week and installed it sunday. The filter is stronger built than the K&N and seem to have more material between the screens. I sealed the back side of the Psychooty housing today and did some hard driving including towing my brother inlaws back hoe and alittle street racing on one hill against a chevy gasser. I pulled the housing tonight and checked the filter and it still intact. I destroyed my first K&N doing thids same thing earlier. I can't report any better EGTs because I was trying to see if this filter could hack it. It came out with flying colors.

AFE filter are a great product. The guys and gals at Advanced Diesel Technology are great bunch to work with.

I just put in a AFE stock replacement filter. I had a K&N. After visually comparing the AFE and K&N, I threw the K&N in the garbage and installed the AFE. I like it. Turbo noise is up a little -- just the right amount of noise for me. I hope it filters well.

Drawson,

Is your AFE filter the same dimensions as the K&N RE-0880?

In other words, is it the same sized cone filter as K&N's. A direct interchange?

Do you have a part # off hand?

Hemi, It is a direct replacement. I used the box it came in for grass clippings, so I don't have the part # . I was in contact with AFE and Advanced Diesel Technology. I wasn't really impressed with the guy I was dealing with from AFE but all the guys and gals at Advanced Diesel Technology where super to deal with and they knew exactly which filter and there price was super. I had the filter 4 days after ordering it from them and your alot closer so it should be to you really quick.

Sealing the end has netted me 1 1/2 to 2 pound of boost at 70 and above and about 50 deg cooler EGT running down the road above 70. I am heading for the oregon coast saturday with the TT that should be a pretty good test.
