put a stage 2 afe intake on 09 6. 7 2500 and fuel mileage droped 2-3 mpg.

called dealer they said no need for cumputer change for intake.

anyone one else see anything like this?

put stock air back on and went back up to 18mpg.

It could be a leak around the MAF? I know that some of the older AFE's had issues with leaks by the sensors.

Really an intake isn't needed below 450 rwhp.

... not to dissregard the MAF sensor leak in the intake, it's a likely culprit, and I'd also wager it has something to do with air temperature, MAF, and EGR function, even if it's not leaking around the MAF. If it's reading too cool an air temperature or too dense of an air flow, depending on what version of ECM flash you have, it will open the EGR, dumping exhaust gas back into the manifold, choking it. Don't you love computers? Burn twice as much fuel for less emissions.....

If it's getting 18, I'd leave it be and be happy. JMO...
