Ok, I guess I did a really dumb thing. I went and got an AFE kit (Stage2) and just found out that it don't like the Banks Exhaust brake. Is there any sort of work-around? I don't want to put the K&N back on, if I don't have to, esp. after the posts I've read.

Thanks!

Deadbus, I know exactly what you mean. The vacuum cylinder on the brake wants to occupy part of the space the heat shield on the filter needs. I'm intending to do a little cutting & bending on that heat shield to make them work together. I just haven't gotten around to that job yet.

My problem is this kit wants to route the intake from the filter to the turbo right where the vacuum cylinder is. The K&N was nice because they routed around the brake by design. I really want to put this kit on, but I don't want to sacrifice the brake. Is the Pac brake a little more user friendly? BTW VP44 died today on the interstate.
