I just put the aFe stage 2 intake on my truck, and it came with the Magnum Force filter. I am wondering if this is the same as a Pro Guard 7. If it is different, what are the advantages of one over the other? Is the PG-7 a better filter for dust, does the Magnum Force flow more, etc. . Thanks, Colby.

Edit: Is the filter pre-oiled, or do I need to oil it?

Does the tube that comes in the stage 2 take the place of a torque tube, or is an aftermartket torque tube an advantage?

The filter that comes with the stage 2 is NOT the PG7. The PG7 is the only filter by aFe that meets/exceeds filtration requirements.

The filter is pre-oiled, you won't need to oil it until you clean it

Yes the tube that comes with the stage 2 is a 'torque tube'. There is nothing on the inside of the tube. It connects the turbo to the air filter which is located in the same area as the stock filter
