AFE Mega Cannon air intake system

Just purchased and installed the AFE "Mega Cannon" air intake system, http://www.afefilters.com/IntakeSytems.asp

looks great and sounds awesome. Wondering if anyone has heard how this compares to the Psycotty system for lowering EGT's?

I think the AFE system is too new for someone to post seat of the pants results. Looks as though you'll have to lead the way.



Now that you opened up the intake, maybe a trip to Stan's in Auburn for a 4" rice rocket resonator (turbo to tail exhaust)?

Mr. Bob's distributing [toll free 877-543-7563] loaned me the BHAF and the AFE 60-9037 filter and 50-10071 AFE housing to dyno test. The AFE setup gave the most hp by about 4 hp over no filter at all! More in TDR#36

Nice to chat with you yesterday. I didn't put your face with the name until I read your post about your new air cleaner. I was the one standing ther chatting with you about pulling 17,000lbs+ while Sam installed your new bomb. I didn't bring my rig because I didn't want to be the one installing a new clutch. Nice clean rig you have there.

Intake air temp is what affects egt, not the filter (at least, not very much). . Cowl induction, ram air hood, etc. helps by bringing in cool outside air.

Is the scotty air filter the best for lowering egts? Or is there another filter that lowers them more?

Scotty it is, then. Is there really $85 worth of difference between the AFE and the K&N filters?
