aFe Mega-Cannon is LOUD

Just a note to those thinking about a aFe Mega-Cannon, this thing really let's you hear the turbo. I don't mind it much but my wife says it's bothering her. If you're looking for a quiet filter this is not the one to get. It sure does look nice and flows a lot of air.

Heck Yah! I had my AFE mega cannon in for a week now and I love it! It is alot louder now, combined with my Jannetty 4 inch it's just sweet!

Man, I must be deaf r a door knob, I hardly hear mine except in a 3rd uphill hard climb. Wife noticed it right off, but doesn't complain.

My wife complained about the whistling, too. I lied, told her the heat was making the turbo louder. Of course, I didn't tell her I bought the megacannon, either!!

I have had mine for quite a while now and I love it... it does make it al little more difficult to hear the wife's chatter... wait a minute... isn't that a good thing ?

My wife bought me one for my bday. It should be here by the end of this week. (She has no idea what a Mega Cannon is) Boy, will she be surprised, or what? I'm not gonna put the silencer back in either. :-laf :-laf

In fact I kinda want to cut a 3-4" hole to draw from the cowl too. Any thoughts on this??

I think this is because women's hearing/smelling/taste capabilities are better than mens. My financee noticed the louder intake sound when I put the BHAF on. On a long road trip towing, I put the factory box on.



The stuff we have to put up with. .

Can't live with them, can't live without them...

If you want loud, go with a through the cowl air filter, and a B-1. My truck litterally sounds like a jet plane taking off. My buddy can hear it in his car on the highway a hundred yards away! I love the looks pedestrians give me when I'm driving in town.



PS Then the g-friend started complainin and on went the muffler, out went the custom airbox, and in went the lead. I must say its nice for long drives, but I don't get the shock factor when I pass a powerpuke:{
