Hey ya'all, I went back to the stock intake tube because I had a lot of air turbulence noise with my cool hose and moded stock turbo.
So now I have a stock air tube, but I would like to try the MIT from Airaid.
Anyone have a used one?

I couldn't measure any seat of the pants increase in power with mine.
The Cool Hose let too much high frequency turbo noise out for my taste. Sold it years ago.

Stock is way to quiet for me & and yes, as you said the CoolHose is loud. I blame some of the louder on my Tater moded stock turbo.
Also my silencer ring grooves are gone with the machining that had been done, so I can't put that back in......

Coming out of seven yrs of barely tolerating my 24v's clattering,the relative quietness of this '07 is a relief.
I do have a Shutleworth HD diesel muffler on it though. A little louder w/zero drone.

I hear yah, when I sold my 98.5 and got my 04.5; it was like wow! This truck has manners! Quiet never gets old, the volume of noise the 98.5 had did though.

Yeah my neighbors always thought their UPS order was coming around the corner with mine. Drive up windows were taboo. I couldn't shout loud enough.
At the San Ysidro border heading north I always made it a pt. to shut it off so the poor agent to speak without raising his/her voice.

The sound is cool, just not the volume.
That's why I call the mechanic Injected Cummins the 'tractor' diesels.
