I am ready to ditch my K&N stock replacement and throw in a real filter. Swabbed my intake hose the other day and was disgusted. Does anybody know what kind of flow you can really get with an afe Progaurd 7 stock replacement?. Compared to to a stock paper? K&N drop in? I want better filtration but do not want to sacrifice airflow. I debated on going to the whole intake assembly but don't know if it would be necassary with my set up and my future ingector upgrades (mach 1). Would some one give me some guidance on this subject please. It boils down to cost. Keep what I got. Spend $100 bucks on a filter or spend $250 on an intake.

I don't know what the flow rate is but AFE's website might tell you. I can't remember if I read it or not. I have had mine for about a month. So far everything seems fine.

I bought the AFE Air Intake system and ran it for one week. It was too loud for my liking, so I took it out. Still have it all in the box. PM me if you are interested.

I just got an afe pro-guard 7 today, and used it with my kn intake piping and such. So far i see a huge improvement in spool up and airflow. At idle i can easily hear it suck the air and when i stomp on it all i hear is the turbo whistle (which i love:D   ) I would go with the whole kit if you can spare the $$$, but the just intake filter would be a good improvement.
