Just installed the aFe OEM Filter Replacement (i. e. , fits in the stock air box). Anybody else have one? Geno's Garage makes no performance or mileage gain claims. Has anybody noticed any difference after installing one?

BTW, the stock filter has the foam pre-filter and was filthy after only 3,700mi. of Joisey driving with the air box manometer well on the way to the red line. Did I do the right thing, or is constantly replacing the stock filter the way to go.

I just ordered the same filter last week. Hopefully it arrives soon because I have a trip to the Mid-West planned within the next week.

I would suspect a slight power gain but nothing noticable. The cold air set-up claims up to a 25hp gain. The drop in maybe 5hp my guess.

Someone posted a 1/2mpg gain. Again, probably nothing noticable.

My reason for changing is just fact that it can be cleaned and reused. At $28/stock filter it will pay for itself and then some.

I have one and I could only tell a real difference in the 1800 to 2500 rpm range. Didn't see a mpg change, because I put the AFE in the first week I had the truck. I think aftermarket is always better then stock, (sometimes. ) ;)
