Has anyone thought of trying one of the new filters from afe. They have a filter for the '03's that we should be able to rig up in our trucks. I think that the air inlet pipe is the same size. The proguard 7 has seven layers of media and is supposed to filter just as good as a paper filter while improving the air flow. The p/n for it is 75-10411. I'm looking for more air flow but would like a reusable design but would like to keep the dirt out.

I took a chance on a "Green High Performance" air filter and I am quite happy with its performance. They were developed for the Paris to Dakar off road race. They use a cotton "T" shirt type of media which is then treated with their oil similar to K&N. I feel my truck breathes better than it did with the K&N. My last oil analysis with 8000+ miles on the filter is showing 2 parts per million of Silica - dirt - easily as good as the K&N. They are priced comparable to K&N. My filter along with 2 cleaning kits plus shipping was about $100. 00. Just my . 02 worth. :) :)

Have you guys heard of or seen any S&B filters?

I bought one for my marine Cummins... works and looks great.

Similar to a K&N but better quality, deeper pleats very sturdy neck.

CToney,

Dont they make one for our trucks, as well? Or do you have a custom airbox that wont suppport our filters? THere doesnt seem to be much price difference between the newer style and our older style.
