AFE - ProGuard vs. MegaCannon

What's the difference? Near as I can guess; ProGuard filters better? Does MegaCannon flow more air the ProGuard?

I believe that the proguard meets oem specs for filter efficeincy but does not flow quite as much as the original. The origanl afe megacannon filter flowed 851cfm not sure what the flow spec is on the proguard but I am thinking I read high 600's.

If you contact Nick at AFE, I am sure he will be happy to explain the differences.

I attended a demo over the weekend and the Proguard does flow less than the Megacannon, but not a lot less. The top end of the filter is also closed instead of being open as in the Megacannon... partly done for noise reduction.

Just bought the Stage 2 design; AFE said that it flows 1200 CFM. The Proguard 7 system Stage 2, flows 10% less. Still head and shoulders above many of the others and great filtration.

Ordered an Air Intake Kit with ProGuard Filter and a Torque Tube today. Should have it next week sometime. Harry at PDR said the ProGuard flowed just slightly less then the MagnumForce; but better filtration. I want to keep this truck quite a while and it's drawing a-lot of air so I went with the ProGuard.

Nice to hear there's a decent flowing aftermarket filter everyone seems to agree does a good job with filtration.
