Would The Proguard 7 Work Withe The Diesel Power Products Cool Hose?

See my sig. Also, if you search the cool blue hose you'll see a thread I started. Works just like a TT but a bit more quiet.

K&N is less restrictive than most all other filter elements, including AFE. Of course alot more air AND elements get by the filter. I don't see how one could make more smoke (runnin' rich) on a K&N vrs. a AFE. There is a study on the site somewhere that shows K&N the least restrive.

Have you physicaly looked at a K&N then compared to an AFE? The K&N has a flat base, the AFE has a velocity stack molded base. I have not noted more real world flow from a K&N.

I was also the one that had K&N make the first 2nd gen replacement filter back in 93,I gave them the sample to build from before the trucks were produced. I have been around a bit ;)

AFE has done some very interesting things regarding the velocity stack and media face velocity. it is no fiction that more air flows with the AFE than with no filter at all. they've done the science.

I dont' think its published. I'm trying to duplicate their work with some independant testing to see if I can expose the flow benefits of their design, which itself is very clever. by "no filter at all" I mean a 4" diameter pipe. the reason involves the velocity distribution of air in the cross section of a pipe.
