AFE Stage II Loud ???

I just installed my AFE Stage 2 on my 05. I already had the sliclencer ring off... . Is it me or is the thing way loud over 2000 RPM. I checked all conections there good and tight with no leaks. The darn thing sound like a Pro Stock Tractor..... I just wish I had the smoke

I know, don't you love that sound? I didn't go crazy with bombing, but I did the stack thing "LOVE THEM", intake, and the bully dog power pup and I couldn't be happier. The Basic three; intake, exhaust and a nice down loader.

You get use to it very quick. Just turn the stereo up and quit listening to your intake.

I do just the opposite, I turn my stereo down and open all the windows to hear that sweet turbo sing!

Hey guys. My first post. Just joined. Does anybody know if the Stage II makes the turbo whine louder than the Stage I. Makes me wish I had gotten the Stage II instead of I. That thing cost a lot though. Really worth it? How bout performance wise.

A friend has the AFE+ torque tube and I have the stage II set, Yes, AFE stage II is louder , both without the silencer ring. I put the silencer ring back on mine and it whistles perfect for me now Oo. .

HMistica, welcome to TDR first of all.

I don't even turn on the radio anymore, and unless its below 40* wondows are all down, and the back window is open. I love the sound of the turbo echoeing through the stacks, and the scream it makes under the hood. I just wish I had, oh I dunno, a B2 or something under the hood as well. The turbo can't be too loud.

Thanks for the welcome. I ride the same way too. All windows down, the rear window open and radio off. Unless it's raining or my wife and duaghter are with me. I love the sound of the turbo whine and my AT free flow. You gotta hear it going though a tube or tunnel. It's wild. Sometimes I go back and forth just for the hell of it. Other cars move out the way when they hear me coming. You guys make me wish I had gotten the Stage II. But the I is good enough. Just had to remove the stock intake tube with the baffles and replace it with an aluminum 5. 5 inch wide pipe.
