Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) AFE tubes

I put an AFE Stage 1 on my truck, but a torque tube didn't come with it so I reused the old corrugated stock tube to connect it to the turbo. Do you think those smooth surfaced tubes make much difference?

not anything to worrie about the torque tubes are extra unless you buy them with the stage 2 set up. you can always see them in the classifieds cheap if you want one. but with what your set up is I really dont see much fo a improvement with the stage one TQ tube. maybe alittle more whistle. my 2. cents

They flow better but you are not close to the limit on the stocker yet

They make a good deal more noise, especially with an exhaust brake.

I was told by a vendor not to waste my money on one. 0% gain for the cost of the tube.
