I need some help. My truck is currently running a stock filter. I want to install either a AFE or BHAF. I want to install the new filter now but I also want to install it on the ASE system when Sam start making them again. My question is which one is better and will both fit in my stock intake box? Also, would anyone know the part number for the AFE filter? Thank you for any assistance you may give.

The AFE is twice the filter, period. Try getting into the upper HP range and having a BHAF COLLAPSE!!! :D I've heard of instanses...

The BHAF is a nice, inexpensive filter, I have nothing against it... . but the AFE flows and filters better IMO.

Not sure what size of filter Sam recommends...

No worries - good questions. Both the AFE and the BHAF filters will fit both the ASA Intake and the stock air box, and, for comparison, the stock filters will not seal to the ASA Intake as there is no provision for a clamp to hold the factory filter in place.

PDR sells the AFE filters, and I may be in a few months also.

Feel free to PM with any other q's.

- Sam

BHAF! (sorry CB) Where I live we have very fine dust and LOTS of it. I'm not yet convinced that the afe would filter it well enough. I admit that I'm still shy of gauze filters since the K&N that I had let dust through.

Get a BHAF ~$38. 65 from Cummins-Fleetguard pn AH19037, Prefilter from Outerwears~$26 pn WR3325-105, ph# 800-967-3450, be done with it. Oh yeah after you remove the factory airbox.
