Well today i ordered a 2004. 5 quad cab LWB 6 speed with most of the goodies, now the hard part, waiting 2 months for it to be built, it's been a whole 6 hours and i'm already tired of waiting.
Count me in on that one! Ordered my 2004. 5 3500 4X4 CTD HO Laramie 2 weeks ago. Seems like an etenity! I thought I read some stories of trucks arriving 4 to 5 weeks from alocation date. Any info?
Welcome to the club. The wait isn't too long if you are keeping the First Gen around. The problem is if you are without a Cummins powered vehicle for a time. That's rough.
Boy... I gotta wait until my '01 sells (a friend is committed to buying it)..... money in hand and then my "Minister of Finance" (aka: Wife) said the order goes in..... that means no truck for 60 day's..... jeez... ... the anticipation of the wait
Yea i'm keeping the 93 i've got to much time and money invested to part with it, just thought i'd get one a little more quit qnd comfortable for the long trips,
either the truck getting noisier or i'm gettin to old but can't take the long 2-3000 mile trips in it like i used to.
I also gave up a really nice 93 I had bought new. You won't believe the difference between the two trucks and you'll never look back. I guess the only thing I miss is those comfy bucket seats it had.
As of now i've gotten over 230k and the only major problems i've had has been trying to keep the trans coupled to the engine, i've got the 4th flex plate in know, main reason i'm gettin a 6 speed.
