After market air filter

Any advice as to whether it is worth he price to replace a stock air filter/cold air intake with an aftermarket unit? If so what are the suggestions?

Not worth the price or trouble at all...The upgraded (thick) Mopar air filter that comes oem with 6.7 CTD flows plenty of air for the engine, even if you choose to add some extra fueling. It was such a good filter, that some people (like myself) started cramming them into the stock 5.9 filter box until Mopar decided to make one just like it for the 5.9 CTD. Instead of an aftermarket CAI, put your money into better FUEL filtration, which your truck can REALLY benefit from.

I agree. Get that big old unit from Mopar and forget about it. I don't know about the 09, but the 06 benefited from modding the stock air box.
