MichaelStevens, to answer some of your questions. Adding power with a downloader, or Edge, etc puts your warranty at risk. In theory, the Mag-Moss act says the dealer must prove that the modification caused the failure. Reality is that if you smoke a motor and you have or had a power adder and the dealer finds it, most likely your warranty is toast. If you are truly worried about your warranty, Id leave it bone stock. Given the size of the trailer you plan to tow your transmission is gonna get a workout.

Your last question is what is the downside of using banks, etc. Well, shorter transmission life is going to be one of them. Other things can happen, failed injectors, etc. It all depends on how you BOMB it. Me personally, I have looked at Edge Juice, and VanAaken 3. 2, and TST. But I'm still stock for a reason.

I'd suggest some time spent using the search feature (grab a beer, or two) and reading through the archives about various power adders and their potential downfalls. Banks is not very popular around here and I'll leave it at that. Ultimately its your decision and you must decide if the allure of more power wins. That said, if you do, get some gauges (get em even if you stay stock) I can hit egt's of 1400 on a stock motor. And strongly consider the life of your transmission. That's a big trailer you're gonna hook on to.

The biggest question for you is how badly do you want to protect your warranty? The only way to truly stay safe is leave it stock.

It's not that bombers aren't concerned about their warranty, it's just we lack any sort of self control!

You know, I never thought of it before but maybe I could blame TST for making me smoke my clutch??

nah. ;)
