I am wanting to change out the rear bumper on my 03 2500. The stock unit has so little surface area i cant stand on it without my boot tips making contact with, and scratching the bottom of the tail gate:( Any suggestions for replacement options? Thanks for lookin'

I have the Ranch Hands on both trucks. I got the set for the 94 for free (exchange for factory chrome) and bought the set for the 03 after I got hit by a minivan. I like them and seem very heavy duty. The 94's still look very good--Only fine scratches from normal use. The set I bought for the 03 are getin rust spots already. The powdercoat was not nearly as good as it could have been. (Missed a few spots)

The front bumper was shipped in a couple weeks, but the rear took MUCH longer. I waited about 6 or 7 weeks for it and they sent me a poorly wrapped, and badly scratched POS that I rejected. They were cool about it and sid since I had removed my bumper in anticipation, I could mount it until the replacement came. I waited another couple weeks for that and there was no adjustment to the price for my extra troubles. (of course by then it was COLD in my garage)

Bo seems like a decent guy, and it's a decent product. Fit seems pretty good and the welds are solid. They aren't "great" though, and I promtly took off all plaques and decals with their name and number. I sort of wished I had gotten in on the Buckstop group purchase. (I think I got hit right after so it was too late) I think Buckstop or Road Armor would be my choice for a "nice truck" and maybe the Ranch Hands for a "work truck".

(I'm not normally a complainer, but they aren't even in my signature. They had a chance to do right by me and they blew it)

I can explain further and/or take pictures for anybody interested.

rear bumper replacement

Ruenel has a rear bumper replacement. Reunel is in Maxwell, CA.

I have had 2 of them and it will save your tailgate in most instances. My friends 03 Dodge 2500 (with stock bumper) was hit by a Toyota and the bumper folded like a pretzel, trashed the bed, bent the frame end and pushed the bed into the cab causing over $14,000 in damage. I truely believe that the Reunel would have put the Toyota on a rollback with minimal to no damage to the truck.

bighammer,

FWIW, I think that your front Ranchhand works better for the lines of the third gen trucks than any of the massive bumpers do. To me it looks like it belongs there instead of trying to disquise the truck by screwing up the looks.

I know these ideas aren't necessarily practical concerns unless there's some worth to the form follows function maxim.

-Completely my own opinion.

I think they look pretty good too. I like the screen in the grille guards so even birds won't do any damage.
