Who makes one? Want to basically replicate a factory set-up with UConnect and GPS. Since I have an 05, and you cannot put Uconnect with a RB1, and I am not a fan of the RB4, this is probably the only to do it. Figure it will cost about 2K, but that is what those options cost anyway.

SO where should I look?

If that is the Z1, I saw it. I can't believe that is the only unit the Pioneer offers the bluetooth on, how hard would it be to make it work with more head units since it an external box?

I was looking at the dahs - there is no way to make a doubledin work without a new dash bezel.

yes it is, Z1. I did some more looking and it did not seem like there were any other options.

I have the older pioneer with the flip out screen in my car, transplanted from my old truck. The motor just broke and the screen will not fold out any more. For that reason I do not like the flip screens. just my personal experience. I have had that unit for about 4 years

I am replacing it with a alpine with out GPS, but has IPOD built in and a Bluetooth option. With the bluetooth option, at over 200 you can get any of them, I wont be using that feature. That and all the newer units have a mute capability. They just wont play out of the car speakers.

What do you mean they will not play out the car speakers?

I looked at Alpine, 1700 for GPS, 1200 for the flip out screan, 250 for bluetooth and 150 for new iPod kit. Ouch! :--)

Valor makes a double din with nav, Ipod, and bluetooth model #NVG670WT. It has built it 5 channel amp for 5. 1 and cost less than the Pioneer with the adaptors. It has just come out and they havent updated thier website yet but you can look at the 650 without the nav here http://www.valordvd.com/product/productinformation.asp?productid=DDA-650W . Like I said they need to update thier webpage and it wont list the bluetooth or ipod but the 670 has it all.

our trucks are 1. 5 DIN

Not all of them, the 2006 Nav radios are double din (sort of) I understand the rb1 is actually 8. 25" wide and 4. 25" tall (Double DIN standard is 4" X 7") I will be installing the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 in my 2006 (using rb1 dash bezel with some sort of filler to replace the 1. 5 DIN dash) as soon as it arrives so I'll post the whole install process/disaster when I'm done!

I understand getting a VSS signal to a NAV radio is just about impossible since Chrysler has decided to use the extremely finicky CAN-BUS system from Mercedes, that means some of the cool NAV functions of the Pioneer won't be availible. (Pioneer has a vehicle performance screen that show things like 0-60, lateral g's, acceleration and speed in real time, but it needs a VSS input to gather some of that data.

Hey Gifford dont worry about the vss wire. All your functions will work after the system has initialized. It may take up to a day or so but all your functions will work. Most nav systems on the market today dont even have a vss wire to run anyway. Plus if you ever have a problem with your unit the first thing pioneer tells you to do is disconnect the vss wire. Have no fear. Email me if you need any help with the other wiring for the unit. like trying to find the acc wire to power the unit.
