As for the Bully tailgate lock, does anyone know if the lock can be re-keyed? I ask only because I've already got a key for my cap and I'd rather not add another key to my key ring... .
I am looking now for a lock and a bed cover. I think I am definitely going with the power lock. I am not sure what bed cover to get. I think it will be Jack Rabbit or Retrax. Any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks guys.
Thats what I did on my last 3 trucks. Only costs $1. 50 to do (get the all stainless) and have never lost one yet. I have had my tail gate opened a few times, but it was always still there.
You put it on tight and then take a screwdriver and hammer and tap the head. The camp will turn where you can't get to the head. Only way to get it off is to cut it with a grinder. Cant get pliers or cutters on it.
If they really want it, nothing you do is going to stop them. All you can do is detour them and make it take more time to remove. Most will just pass because they are looking for a quick get-away so they don't get caught.
Those after market locking caps are a joke. They stick in a screwdriver and try (sometimes do) pry it out. Then your out a couple of hundred dollars for body and paint work.
So spend your money wisely and have less damage to your truck.
