Anyone have a BD Trans and Converter?

It's time for a new trans or rebuild and I'm considering the BD because I could pick one up, in stock at Summit racing rite down the road from me.

Thanks in advance for any input!

I do! Love it, it was in it when I bought it so I can't say how many miles are on it for sure but BD says it is one of their earlier trannys and I can't hurt it, yet.

I have their TC and VB and torquelock and am very pleased. I will be entering my first sled pull on sunday. So I will se how the rest of the transmission holds up has 80K miles on it. I may be going with a full billet BD trans sooner than I want :p

I had nothing but problems from the day I installed my trans and the customer service sucked, ended up having a local trans shop rebuild it the correct way. Just my opinion though. Customer service means alot to me.

One of my fellow BOMBer members had a run of bad luck with BD.

If I remember correctly, the truck did not even make the less than 2 hour drive home from Cancada to Northern WA. And this happened on several occasions.

Ultimately, the trans did get done, but not without some added fanfare. When the truck was picked up from BD, a tire had a huge gash in the sidewall and was in the back of the truck. The spare was on in place. There was no compesation for the tire either.

So, after several visits at the owners time and expense, and a few tranmission rebuilds later, he was on he way.

I offered to tow him to DTT so he could get it fixed right the first time...
