Well,

It looks like the radiator sprang a leak in my early '91. I checked it last night and it was about two quarts low. If I have to replace the radiator, then I would like to change to a cross-flow type radiator. Has anyone had an aftermarket rad. made for this purpose. I don't have any desire to change out the intercooler, core support etc. I was thinking that I would just change the rad. and the thermostat housing and be on my way. I wouldn't have to change the shroud, fan or anything else?? Has anyone had any experience with "Be Cool" or Griffin? Thanks for the input.

will a 92 fit?

I just got a replacement for my 92. It is and was a cross flow? NAPA hooked me up for a reasonable price, around $200, I think. Direct replacement & the temperaure gauge has responded affirmatively to the fresh fins and tubes!! :D

Dan,

Find a copy of TDR Magazine Issue 6. Look at pages 23 through 25. TDR member Bruce Burney changed out his radiator and gives the details and photos.

I had scanned the article previously and sent it to several members, but unfortunately, I had a computer hard drive crash/failure/replacement and have lost the files.

If you don't find a copy readily, let me know and I'll go back and re-scan the article. It will take some time to dig out my old TDRs. .

Hey Dan,

I have the info that Bill is talking about. He might have even sent it to me. If you want a copy of the info send me an email with your address and I will send it to you. My email address is -- email address removed --. Make sure you say something about radiator on the subject line or I'll throw it out with the junk mail. I did the conversion myself about two years ago and no more cooling problems. It wasn't cheap but it was worth every penny.

Hope I can help,

Dan
