Instaled the Audiovox CCS-100 cruise control after having no luck with the dealer. Said the kits were no longer avilable for the 12 valve motors with a five speed . I was a little skeptical at first weather it would work or not because of two factors one being it wanted tach pulse from the ign coil. Two was the amount of vacume the unit would need. I installed it to day on the wire for the ign I did not use this wire. It is used for manual tran cars and trucks it senses rpm spiks and turns the unit off. I test ran the unit with 5000# trailer and empty it woks great. And the unit only cost $89. 00 For the clutch im going to make a braket and insall a micro switch and tee it in with a diode on the bake lead. And I will mount the controll pad in the cup smoothie Hope this helps someone else out.

Where did ya get it? I've been planning to install cruise for ages, my leg gets pretty stiff over a 6hr non stop run.

How long did it take ya to install it? What are the controls like?

Thanks in advance

Mike

When I installed a remote starter I substituted the tach pulse wire for the ignition coil wire the instructions called for, works fine. Might save you doing the clutch switch.

I purchased the unit at auto zone but ive also seen it in summits catalog for the same price. As for the install it took about two and a half hours and it will proubable take another two hours to install the controll pad straighten out the clutch deal and cut and clean up some wiring. Im vere annul and like to do the job so that whene I look over it it looks as it came frome the factory not like an ad on. The control is a pad with two rockers its about 1 1/4 x2 in. with a light in it fr night time driving. I will try to use the tach pulse lead and let you know how it works thanks for the tip.
