had that system on the dyno 10 years ago, didnt work then eather

By the way numb nuts, the word is "either" You can't even spell simple words and you want to say you and RayMac built an engine together???It's more like he built an engine for you and then someone else got it and ran it faster than you. You really should just go hang out on Uncle Gales boards because I think we've had enough of your BS.

what is it with your ego's that won't let you accept info from someone(who obviously knows alot about going fast--8 sec quarters) without bashing him. just because you don't agree with him about the best way to build an engine dosn't mean he is wrong. i don't remember him bashing anybody in his posts, although if i were him i most likely would have. this is about sharing info --so grow up!

The problem lies in the fact that we don't believe he had any REAL involvement in building the engine that went in that truck. Notice the NEW driver, a Rookie at that, has already taken the truck faster than Comp claimed he had ever run? That is our point.

It's just the way Comp walked onto these boards was poorly done. Alot of guys have been around a LONG time, and really know what the real deal is. Comp walked in and said "HEY I'M THE FASTIST! I have no video, no pictures, but I have a time slip!"

That started the... . rivalry(?) amongs Comp and others. (His spelling doesn't help either)

Sign me up for a DOHC head with provisions for engine brakes... :)

Matt

simple... go camless;)... 12 hydraulic actuators in the head inplace of the pushtubes. . use them to actuate the rocker arms and crossheads. variable lift, variable timing and exhaust brake function. . just would be a good idea to have flycut pistons so it is a non interferance engine if something goes out of whack with the timing with ecm controlling the actuators. .

would need an extra/external hydraulic pump [hp oil pump similar to what is used to actuate heui injectors]

one can dream...

hardest part of the whole thing is the speed the actuators need to work at. . up to 40x a second at top engine speeds [17x @ 2000rpm]

works well on large marine engines [but 1-2x sec is easier to handle & some still have cams, but hydraulics work as the pushrods]
