Has anyone seen good results with aftermarket Manifolds? Is it worth the money? Or... do you really need to bomb before seeing its value?

Deezal Man, this has been talked about in many different threads in the last six months. A search through the archives should provide answers to your questions.

The only thing I know of that would be beneficial besides the fact that it looks nice is that the ATS 3 piece manifold allows the manifold to expand and contact without craking like the factory one is prone to do.

Deezal, As far as I know the ATS Pulse manifold is the only aftermarket one avialable for the B series Cummins. You would notice more of a benefit with a bombed engine. The guys that have them love them. They do flow better than the OE ones. Below are Piers's flow bench test #'s.

Stk manifold flowed 142 cfm
ATS manifold flowed 153 cfm
after porting at the head flanges
it flowed 156 cfm & after porting the turbo flange area it flowed 160 cfm

I have ordered one. #ad

Deezal Man, I put in the ATS manifold when my HX40 went in to help with the spool up on the turbo. It is really well made, reminds me of the Mag-Hytec in respect to it's craftsmanship. I have no idea how it would help an otherwise stock Cummins, except for possibly less turbo lag. My HX40 spools up real quick with it, although I'm sure the other mods. I have also contribute to the cause.

HEMI, How much does the ATS manifold cost? And what about cost for the porting you mentioned?

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, They are about $460. Not sure how much porting would cost. Its really just a gasket match. The guys that have the maifolds now have done the porting themselves.
