My truck doesn't have the fog/driving lights in the bumper.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket source for lights that would fit in there?

Or has anyone installed the OEM lights on their truck? If so, what did it cost and do you know the part numbers?

Thanks!

Dan

The PIAA 60XT's fit (barely). I have a pair installed in addition to the OEM fogs.

Be aware that there is not much available in the factory "bumper" to attach to. Be prepared to fabricate a mounting system if you go with anything not specifically engineered for your truck. After you design an installation method you may find—as I did—that aiming the lamps can be a chore.

Nice setup Thomas. I saw the 60's in another Ram, they do fit nice and seem alot brighter then stock. I have PIAA 520's mounted on a bumper guard.

Dan... .

I'm sure you know that the factory bumper with the fog light option has bigger hole openings... . see Thomas' truck. I have PIAA 510's where the factory lights go, and they fit perfectly, with much better lighting over stock.

If you have the bumper with grey plastic inserts and the smaller hole opening I'm not sure what aftermarket light would fit in that hole. In more recent model years, this would be the SLT trucks without the factory fog light option. You can go with 60XT's like Thomas and put nothing in the small hole.

If you have the factory bumper with NO grey plastic inserts (ST version, at least in more recent model years) then you have to buy the plastic inserts. If you do that, you might as well buy the larger hole inserts like Thomas' which would allow you to do the 510's or other's like Thomas. Doesn't make much sense to me to have the hole openings with no lights in them. Beware... . if you buy the plastic inserts... approx. $40. 00..... you have to remove the entire front bumper to install them, and of course, the lights too. :( Obviously, if you have this bumper with no plastic inserts, and don't want them, you can do like Thomas and install the 60XT's.

Sorry if I gave you a headache..... :)

Thanks, No I did not realize there was a difference in hole size depending if you had the Fog lights or not - oh well.

I could always get the torch out and make them bigger! :p

Fog Lites

My '99 came sans foglites. For a birthday, my bride bought the factory kit for me from a local dealer - approx $170 plus tax. You will have to drop the bumper to install everything, but it all looks correct when you're finished. Kit contains lites, wiring harness, relay, new headlite switch with foglite switch built-in, grey plastic bumper inserts (which have larger holes than the ones without foglites), misc fasteners. Pretty much all that is needed to do the install. Took about 4-5 hrs to do it.
