I smacked a parking post (cement filled 6"pipe) with my rear bumper yesterday and enjoyed the fact that a little scratched paint was the only damage. We us a heavy steel bumper assembly which supports our rear snowplow.
I would really like to replace the stock front bumper assy. with steel one. However, these quick-attach plow systems require that the aftermarket front bumper match the dimensions of the OEM very closely. When hooked up, the plow frame assembly doesn't clear the front bumper by much more than an inch or so.
I push dumpsters around with the rear bumper during the roofing season. I sure would like to have something that stout on the front which would be compatible with the plow.
Any suggestions?
Andy
