Aftermarket indash nav.+Sirius?

My buddy's looking for suggestions for an indash navigation and Sirius+CD player for our '07 trucks. Anybody using a satisfactory product? Thanks.

I have the same question for my '09... . I bought the dash bezel for navigation and have heard the OEM Navigation is not very user-friendly without touch-screen. Any aftermarket advice??

I recently installed in my truckam kenwood nav system kna-g510 and also advd reciever kvt-614. They remove the stock radio and replace it with the kenwood system. It comes with sat,radio,nav,blue tooth,cd,and dvd. For me it's a great system.

I have a Pioneer EVIC nav radio. It's a good system. XM and Sirius. The navigation leaves something to be desired though. My Droid phone is much better at nav so I us it. I mostly got the radio for the back up camera since I can't see anything with a lifted truck and a camper top. The newer pioneers have improved some. Mines a few years old.

I have a new, in the box, Kenwood DNX7140 if it will fit someone's truck. It doesn't fit mine.

The nav. is somewhat limited. If an address isn't in its data, it won't help you. And some of the data/vicinity search is old and not accurate. It does work well to get you there though. The other issue I have is the equalizer is rather unusual in the way it adjust the frequencies and I find it limiting. It will support a lot of extra stuff, like back seat screens, DVDs and such. I bet the newer versions are quite a bit better.

Unfortunately my 03 has the odd "din and a half" so I have to use a single DIN unit with a motorized faceplate. I haven't looked at one in person yet but I suspect the screens will be flimsy.

kenwood uses garmin navigation, i heard they are more popular.

If the truck has Sirius and CD already installed, I'd go with the the portable Garmin - you can put it in another vehicle, take it along, etc. Cheaper and less headaches too.

I have the Clarion double din unit in my 07, The navigation on it is soso, when the can bus flips out from time to time and I have to reset my sirius pre-sets. I'm a die hard Clarion fan, but for the first time in 17 years I'll say stay away from the Clarion.
