;) I just called BD and they produce their own alum. unit and it's 90 percent efficent compared to the 70 percent efficent stock units, they have a 1 year warrenty and have larger inlet and exit ports. They also come with the hoses and clamps along with the instructions for install. I was also told that all the correct mount points are on the unit. I think I will buy one at the cost of $1250. 00

Heres another one to consider. HERE

The one shown is for a 7. 3L. I have the Dodge version sitting next to me ready to go on our truck for testing. The dimensions of the core are: 31X22X2. 75.

what are the sizes of the pipes? anyone know off hand what size the Banks pipes are? In my book, BD is only slightly better than Banks

Just a cheaper price. I am not planning on any major power mods, maybe the Smarty when it comes out for the 3rd gens. So A stock cooler with metel tanks should do me just fine at half the price of a Banks, cooltwist, or a BD intercooler.

If someone wanted to pay me for my 04 intercooler, i'd jump all over one of the aftermarket replacements.

I'm looking more and more at the "passive" performance additions like intake, intercooler, and exhaust. These parts just sit there and do their job without moving parts or control systems. They don't hide what they are doing or mask signals to the ECM type sensors.

The next step up seems to be electronic fooling, followed with new turbos and injectors.

Propane and NOX seems for the true junkies that need the ultimate fix! Too much snow for me!!! <smile>

So, anyone really wanting an intercooler (charge air cooler) off a 04, 305/555, let me know. I'll purchse an aftermarket cooler and use the box it come in to ship you the stock 04, 305/555 intercooler. Instead of half the price of a Banks, cooltwist, or a BD, I'll let it go for 40% plus shipping. Let me know and I will get the quote from Banks so the 40% cost can be calculated. You get a good intercooler very cheaply and I will get an aftermarket intercooler at a good discount. Just send the PM to get the ball rolling.

I sell both the BD and the Banks.

The banks has bigger outlet to accept the High Ram intake

The BD claims to flow 1500 cfm with a 1psi drop.

Banks refuses to give me numbers.

My truck will be running the BD kit in the near future, as I am very extreme. However, the less expensive Banks kit is great for most mild to moderate bombers.

No complaints from customers so far.
