Now that I am looking for my first aftermarket liftpump I think we should organize some of this data I am finding all over TDR.

What I want is anybody to post that is using something SOMETHING OTHER THEN THE STOCK LIFT PUMP, with only the requested data (I love your storys, but i need to keep the data simple as I am only looking for the longevity of each manafactures pump).

I will come up with a spread sheet and post it for you. Remember keep your answers short and sweet.

REQUESTED DATA

1-Type of lift pump with part number I can find in the books.

2-How many miles did each type of aftermarket pump last (months don't really help, it's miles that count) please note "dead" or "still going". If its dead, a little note about what died would help like "brushes" (this if for you Mallory guys who have the same pump but keep replacing brushes. .

3-Is this mounted on the block or back at the tank? I relize some of you have a hole punched in your tank for gravity flow, but we will leave that out for now.

Is this used as a pusher to the stock pump?

Format it something like this

Carter 4601hp, 24K miles and still going, tank mount.

Holly 512-103, 12K miles dead, tank mounted.

Mallory 4140m 36K and still going, tank mount

or

Mallory 4150, 30K miles still going, tank mounted (brushes bad every 10K miles)

or for those of you with 2 pumps just note that something like this.

Stock, 36K, still going, block mount

Holly 512-103 still going, tank mount pusher.

This way we can get the facts on which pumps have been tested, and how many miles it lasted so we can really see which ones are working out.

TowPro

Stock, (orig replaced July '01)7k, still going, motor mount

Carter 4600P, 200mi, very strong, frame mount pusher (by tank)

23-24 psi @ idle

20 psi WOT w/Comp on 5-5... .

:D :D

Great idea TowPro!

I'm on my second stock lift pump and currently running less than 9lbs of pressure. Thinking of switching to an aftermarket pump, just not sure which one to get.
