I just got done installing a Don M HELIX 2 camshaft. We are working out some fuel issues, but on the test drive with the old electric pump, I am mighty impressed!



Get ahold of Don M and he'll forward you all the specs. Don does start with new blanks. The cam I got has a profiled 12V lift pump lobe, but we need a bigger pump. Don supplied me with everything I needed including the cam, tappets, lift pump, hoses and fittings and even let me borrow his install tools. Heck, even that HOSS guy loaned me wrenches for the fan removal.



I'll have better information when we get the fuel pressure cranked up. So far, EGTs are down 150+ degrees at 65 mph. Boost at that speed runs 5-6 psi and smoke output is way down. Max boost is unknown as the needle hits the wastegate much harder than before and stays there. I may need bigger sticks. :-laf

Fuel economy will get figured out in a few weeks.



Tune at idle has changed. More turbo whistle in the exhaust at idle.
