I'm tiered of the treble lights on my 05! I will not let anyone drive the truck after dark, heck ( trying to be nice ) I hate to drive it myself when dark! There has been too many close calls with deer and most recent a cow elk!

I've looked at several aftermarket lights. The first is from Geno's made by Anzo. The second is from Recon. The third is from Extralight. The Extralight has the HID conversion as well. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these lights?

I wanted some blacked out head lights for the 06 and thought about the projectors. I read several post here that they did not illuminate well. I went with Mopar black head lights and they are fine. I recommend a bright box over projectors from what I have read. I had the bright box with the fogzilla and I have plenty of light for highway use.

I am doing a projector retrofit into the OEM headlight assembly using a bixenon D3S jector off of a Lincoln Navigator. I finally got it mounted inside the assembly and just trying to figure out the wiring... wish me luck.

well bench test them first then you will need some power resistors across the inputs to fake out the computer. Good luck

Already bench tested and works fine including the high beam but this is the easy part. Yes I have a resistor that I will wire into the system but hooking everything up will be the real test.

The headlights on my recently purchased '08 are too high on both high and low beams. When I'm towing, my high beams are way up in the trees. I can not find any headlight adjustments and the Dodge service dept says there is no adjustment. I can't believe Dodge would put out a truck with no adjustments. Anyone with an answer or solution.

DITTO, Mine are too high as well.

i have a 05 hate my headlights and thats not all when its taken to europe we need to have e-aproved things and headlights with adjustable lights from inside the car. . so the only way is to cut out your reflector throw in a hella headlight with motor. so now its 2 ****ing glasses that takes away light! but my i mounted 6 really cheap 9inch lights on the roof and my foglights will light up just in fron of the car.

According to the manual, you can adjust the headlights up and down:

1. Turn the headlamps ON and select the LOW beams.

2. Rotate the headlamp vertical adjustment screw (2) on the inboard side of each front lamp unit housing (1) to adjust the beam height as required.

Stay away fromt he Recon projection headlights, I bought a set and even put in there HID's and they are terrible. They look cool but that's not what I was going for, my stock ones were better

I am still trying to decide between retrofitting my oem headlights with either the fantastic LS430 low beam projectors (which I already have a pair of) or the LS460 Bixenon projectors, which I might trade over to

I am curious as to why you picked the Navigator D3S... I know nothing about them...

Are you HOPEFULLY gonna take pics and do a write up on the upghrade to your headlights... thta'd be great to add to the archives. I know that I am going to write mine p once I start that actual work.

I remember reading that someone had converted there fog lights to HID. Tried a search and was unable to find it!:{#@$%! If anyone might know of this conversion, or have done it, I would like to know how it was done!;)

It is not only on Navigators but Audis and Benz I think. The D3S is a bigger HID bulb and in theory should produce more light. It uses Osram bulb and ballast and the projection lens is huge.

I had to do a lot of trimming and finally got the projector into the OEM housing. It looks good but not sure how straight it is aimed as I have not fitted it into the truck and turn it on. Since the D3S is a large bulb/projector, it sticks out the back of the headlight housing quite a bit and I'm not sure if it will clear the sheet metal in the back of the housing.

Yes this mod is very well documented and I have taken lots of pics from the beginning and will do a writeup for sure once I finish it and it works.
