Thinking of purchasing a rear DVD system for the truck. I would welcome your opinions and experiences.

I am considering the system shown in the link below as it interfaces with the trucks audio system, for example if you are driving and listening to "Nemo" for the twentieth time you can put headphones on the grandkids and go back to listening to your rock'n'roll. Plus it has the correct bracket to fit the MegaCab roof.

I have not checked Crutchfield.com yet, but will. Am in Michigan on business this week and will have some free time in the evenings to check out your suggestions as they come in.

Thanks, Mike. :):)

Dodge Ram Rear Seat Video DVD

Personally I don't like that style as it can block the rear view mirror.

I put 2 concept 6. 5" lcd screens in my headrests. Wires run down the seat and into the compartment under the center console, where the rest of the wiring is at. The video signal comes from my head unit. I got a JVC DVD head unit that has a 2. 7" screen on the front of it (not a huge flip up deal). What I like most about the screen is I can glance down and see what I am selecting when trying to play a DVD.

I also have what CIverson has. I went to 6th avenue with intensions of purchasing the same one as you for my kids, and they had a sale on a set of headrest 7" tvs already in the headrests. They sold them to me for $260 for both. This was two years ago and they have been flawless since. My head unit is a Kenwood Excelon series Flip up DVD player i believe also seven inch which runs all tvs.

Thanks for your replys.

I am wondering if either of you have headphones for the rear seat and if so, how are they connected??

I don't, but I could pretty easily. I would just need to run some RCA cables from my Head unit to where the wiring is under the center console, then I could just plug them into the front of the screen.
