Looking to do a wheel and tire upgrade. My 315’s on factory rims just barely fit right now. If I add a 2-inch leveling kit, will it give me enough clearance to run 35x12. 5R17 on Eagle 186 rims?

I also like the look of the Eagle 178. The 20” rims have a +20mm offset. Anyone running these rims with a 325/60R20 All Terrain? They measure 35. 4”. Any pics with Eagle 186 or 178 rims would be appreciated

Carl,

Check out my readers rig gallery, I am running the 325/65/18 (35x13. 5x18) ProComp Extreme AT's on Eagle 114's with no lift and I haven't had any problems, no more rubbing than you do with the 315's.

You have to check the backspacing on the wheels. I have seen 33" tires not fit a truck due to backspacing. Try to get a wheel with the same backspace as the stock wheel.

I ran 315X70X17 BFG ATs for 70K on stock wheels, only rubbed on the lower control arm at extreme full lock. I now have new BFG 315 ATs on H2 wheels (less backspacing) and no rub except on a ditch crossing off road. Stock springs (I LIKE the slight rake!).

35's and a 2" leveling kit should work just fine, as long as you stay at a stock backpacing on the rim. The stock rim is 7. 5 in wide, you should be good as long as you don't go over 8" wide.....
