Does anybody make a short throw shifter for a nv 4500, if so how much do they cost?

So far BD just has them for 6 speeds but is supposedly working on one for the 4500

Anyone else out there willing to make short throw shifter for less money than BD? I think it is great idea, but just can't justify 200. 00.
