I have a std. stereo system in my truck with a 10 disc changer and want to replace the stock speakers in the front and back doors, does anyone know of a high quality 3 way speaker for the doors? or 2 way? I am planning on putting a couple of fosgates for base in it also. Any help would be appreciated.

MB Quarts all the way. They are a bit pricey. . but the quality in sound that these speakers deliver is awesome!!

Call Crutchfield and talk to them, they know everything that will or wont fit in your Ram and they will give you part numbers. Then, you can decide where you want to buy it. I have a pioneer head unit with a 12 disc changer and the JL Audio 12" sub INSIDE the center front seat. It is amazing and has tons of bass, and you lose absolutley NO storage room. Check out www.jlaudio.com and click on "Stealth boxes" to see it.

I agree with K_Arts, but the price is almost scary on some of their speakers. Are you looking to install an amp to run the speakers in the factory location or run them off the head unit? I would recommend installing an amp because you will achieve better results with high quality speakers like the MB Quarts. In fact do not waste your money on the MB Quarts if you are not going to run them off a separtate amplifier (JMHO). Otherwise if you'd like to run them off the head unit call Crutchfield as recommended and they will help you out. In my dealings with them their customer service is top notch. Their prices are not the cheapest though so be careful.

One final thing I'd like to add is that everyones listening taste are different. Stop by some stero shops in your town and bring your favorite CD with you. Listen to the speakers they have to offer and decide which ones you like. One thing to keep in mind is that almost all, if not all, of the speakers in their store are powered by a separate amplifier.

Ryan

I have a 3k Stereo system in my truck, and I feel the best speakers on the market are Boston Pro's 5. 5 or 6. 5 Componet speakers. I have Pheonix gold Amps hooked up to these babies and I can turn it up ALL the way with ZERO distortion. I gtg right now Ill post a link for you later.

I too have done some mods to my stereo #ad

Roughly 1200 Watts of PPI amps, 2 square Kicker subs in a custom glassed-in box and MBQuart componant speakers in all the stock locations. Dynomat extreme is tucked in behind the rear seat and all the doors - haven't done the floor yet.

The tunes absolutely rock! The quality of the sound is amazing - MBQuarts are the way to go but you'll definetly want to add some power.

Like Sky I have the Boston 6. 5 Pro Audio's with a pair of Boston Rally 6. 5's in the rear door. ( these will fit - Trust me #ad
)
And Like EMDDIESEL I have the center sub seat from JL Audio. The combination is AWESOME!
with a little help from 3 V-12 Alpine Amplifiers #ad

If your looking to just increse the sound quality without ripping out your whole stock system the Boston Acoustics is what I have been running in my trucks for the last 13 years with awesome results.

I’m happy with my stock front speakers, the rear speakers are LAME. Will the Boston Rally 6. 5's in the rear door work well with the stock system? Do you add the tweeters to the rear or just run the woofer?

It depens what you want really. If your sticking to the stock deck, you very limited. As the rear speakers run off the fronts. I use to think the fronts were good speakers too. But they are nothing compared to a good after market speaker. The problem is that the stock deck doesnt have plugins for speakers. Your best bet is to go to a stereo shop and talk to them about your options.

Scooby I also have 2 10" Square solo-barric kicker subs, powered by v-12 alpine amps. I love them long time #ad
