Made a mistake on bad info from sales guy and now have wheels that are rated at 2100lb and need to get back to stock rating and hopefully above. (vendor is probably going to buy my wheels back as I told them this is a safety issue and they told me they were rated above stock ratings)

I really like my 20in but 18in would be ok also.

Am also trying to get an offset somewhat close to stock ... . hopefully +20 offset or greater ... I know there are few out their.

Currently looks like the Weld Commando or Velocity are my only two options I can find but I am still trying to verify they are indeed rated at 3200lbs as I am being told (you know, a copy of a spec sheet or something on manuf. site). Most dont list the load ratings on web, etc. ... .

Maybe I will just buy the stock wheels off ebay again and go to some bigger AT tires ... I just dont like the stock look with standard size tires.

The Welds should be 3000 or 3200. I have the Outbacks and they are one or the other. Call them up and find out. 1. 800. 669. 9353

The ****ty thing I noticied about aftermarket wheels is that they aren't hub centric, where the stock ones are.

Good luck there. . . stock is +40mm. Centerline has one 17" wheel in the right offset at 3300lbs rating, or you could call KORE Racing and get a set of their special Weld Evo 18x8. 5" wheels that have the right offset (which I don't think you can get from Weld). Other than that there isn't anything out there I know of besides Ricksons (and even their aluminum wheels don't have as much offset at stock).

My 19. 5" Ricksons are rated at 4500 # They are forged aluminum... Called "ELIMINATOR" ... . I bought Locally, Michelin XDE-MS 245/70R 19. 5" ... "F" rated 12 ply tire..... Rated at 4080# @ 95 #

Here is the view from the side, it is skinnier, but not bad. The off-set is out a bit but still flush with the side...

After finding a leaking, cracked rim on one of my factory wheels, I also went on a search for a higher load rated wheel. The Ricksons were very tempting, but after learning that I couldn't find any mud tires in the commercial offerings, I decided not to go that route.

I now have on order a set of 16X8 steel "Military Wheels" from Stockton Wheel. I think I may be giving up a little bit in appearance by, but gaining tremendously in load rating and ability to take abuse. 16X8 was the size that came on my 2001 with the 265/75R16 wheels, and by staying with 16X8's I have a pretty wide range of brands, treads, sizes, and load ratings. For my size, this increased the wheel load rating to 4000#, the best I could find anywhere else without going to the Ricksons was about 3100#. Since they make all of their wheels to order, I'm decreasing the backspacing by 0. 75" from stock, hoping to reduce wheel rub with larger tires while not sticking out of the wheel well too much. They are under $200/rim if you go with powder coat, which they told me was better for someone that doesn't wash their car a lot (the chrome could end up pitting if not cleaned often enough). I believe they said their run-out tolerance during fabrication was 0. 004", but since I couldn't find the specs for any other wheels I don't have a good feel for whether that is good, bad, or average. (Somebody speak up if you know!) I did see some good press on Stockton Wheel, so I suspect that is a reasonable tolerance.

One issue to watch out for on the newer trucks is, be sure you have the required clearance for the calipers. Talk to Stockton on the phone, they'll tell you what to look for.

I also suspect the Kore offering mentioned by others is an excellent choice.
