I had TSB 23-025-03 done here last year. My drivers & passenger aftermarket window tint had a few small scratches.

At the time I did not think about it, but when I showed it to the service writer he ask me if the two back doors were also aftermarket tint, I replied "no" there the factory tint. He said well thats good that we only will replace the drivers and passenger door felt liners and have windows retinted for you.

For awhile now I been wanting the back doors and back glass tinted darker, but put it off because of the chance the felt liners needed replacing on the back doors and I would have to pay for "parts $$" and "labor $$" out of pocket. The way I took it was since I had the factory dark tint they would not replace the felt liners since I'm not having a problem with the factory tint.

After reading over the TSB it calls for all four to be replaced if it's a quad cab. I'm going to see about having the TSB done for the two rears now under warranty, still with 25K miles and 11 months time left on the 3/36.

My question is since rear door felt liners were not corrected to start with, and no aftermarket tint has been applied "yet", am I going to have a problem getting dealership to replace liners. Even though the TSB says all four on a quad cab.

Anyone have something similar come about.

Tony

I had the TSB performed on mine then went and had all four doors plus the back glass tinted. No problems so far with scratching. If they won't do it, find another dealer that will.
