Smarty Spool up

Yeah smarty will help your turbo spool for sure!!!!!!!! I tried a smarty about 2 weeks ago and I swear I took the (stock) turbo off my truck... no lag at all. Now I know this is on a stock truck but if I have NO lag on a stock truck you should have a lot less on a large charger truck. Now all I have to do is get rid of the EZ and I can get a smarty. And the best thing for me is the smarty will let me use my VHF High band radio that the EZ screws with.

i agree with the smarty making it drive better and spool quicker... ... i would like to see some dyno #'s with it stacked with a drag comp..... i will have a chance to try one at IRP this year

i was just wondering if anyone tried all the settings on the smarty to see if there were any HP gains... form everyone i have talked to..... maybe 3-4 guys that have ran it on a dyno said they lost HP... . but i am not sure what level they were on or any details

Thanks

Scott

I was using the Edge Juice with an A2 and it made my two meter radio almost useless. I now have the Smarty and am much happier! Smoother, Stronger, Fully adjustable via your right foot. Nothing hanging above the dash
in your vision. And my Ham radio works the way it is supposed to!

Guys that posted on here about dyno runs with smarty all said that they ran smarty on sw8 & lost an average of 20-50hp. They also said that the powerband was straight across the board at peak. I wouldn't trade my smarty for anything & I'm sure that they would all agree. You have got to try one & you will be surprised how much more fun the truck is to drive... . unbelieveable.

i am looking forward in trying it this year..... i may also run the truck at the track with and with out the smarty just to see if there is any difference

i will post the findings

Can you stack a smarty with the edge with attitude? I like the gages it gives me and the power on the fly but I like the smartie for the power.

Yes you can... . the juice is basically a edge comp with gauges & other features... ... they are a great stack & best of all... . you can still have adjustability on the fly through the edge. You'll love it! If you are gonna order a smarty..... get it from Bob Wagner..... great guy to deal with.

I love my edge j/a but after spending 30 minutes taking it out of the truck to take it in for service, I've just about convinced myseld to go with a Smarty and gauges. But I spent $850 on the edge only 5 months ago. We'll see.

Like others have said, load up #8 and set the comp to kill. You will be blown away. The bottom end is very nice, but I think (seat of the pants feeling) that the top end is WAY insane. I think my truck goes from 75 to 90 mph in about 1 second. My wife drove it one day I she will now not drive my truck any more...

I agree Matt. The one 30 mile trip you took with it is not enough. Stop on over and pick it up whenever you want and give it another try - this time on #8 and your comp on. I suppose I could suffer for a week or two without it.

As far as the dyno HP #'s. I tried two runs last fall. Both with Comp on 5x5. One with Smarty on stock (422/870) and the other with Smarty on #8 (402/825). I think more than anything I was limited by my stock HX35 charger. With the comp and Smarty on it was WAY hot. Too much fuel IMO and that is why less overall power. With a larger charger I think the Smarty will actually add a little power but not a whole lot. The power really does not matter all that much to me. What does matter is that it is a lot more fun to drive with the Smarty on.
