I noticed looking back that you seemed to have the same problems that I am. I don't know if you have seen any of my posts. The problem started after taking the truck into the dealer for a bad Crankshaft sensor. I got it back and boom the thing has surges at certain RPMS. Mine also has a miss at idle that started when my VP44 went out and the dealer replaced it with a Reman one. So far I have tried replacing the Cam and Crank Pos. sensors, the boost sensor the ECM and checked all connections I could find. I am going to head to Cummins soon and have them take a look at it. I am seriously considering a P pump conversion as well. Reliability is more important than anything else period. Second is getting about the same power I had with my injectors and box and reflashed ECM. I sure wouldn't want to rely on these damned electronics in a warzone where you life depended on them.
